2026 INTERMEDIATE TO SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPY POSITIONS
An excellent opportunity has arisen to work at one of the top physiotherapy clinics in the Bay of Plenty. Our clinic is renowned for outstanding customer service and promoting the growth of physiotherapists, particularly in advancing to higher-level sports physiotherapy roles, thanks to our strong connections with High-Performance Sports New Zealand.
For over twenty years, Bureta Physiotherapy has provided high-quality physiotherapy services to a diverse range of clients, from everyday patients to elite athletes, with a strong focus on overall health and wellness. Our clinic is the biggest musculoskeletal practice under one roof in the Bay of Plenty, with 11 treatment rooms and a testing gym. Bureta Physiotherapy collaborates with several sporting codes, including one of the region's top rugby clubs, New Zealand's most successful surf lifesaving club, and other national and international athletes. Our main clinic is conveniently located just minutes from Tauranga’s CBD and the beautiful Mount Maunganui beaches, and we have a newly added sister clinic, Mountside Physiotherapy, with opportunities to work in both.
We also engage in contract work involving integrated care pathways, return-to-work programs, persistent pain management, and concussion care. If you have expertise in these areas, it will add value and diversify your work.
Our appointment times are designed to emphasise exercise prescriptions combined with appropriate manual physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and advanced technology systems, such as VALD and AXIT force plate systems, to provide exceptional care for our clients.
You can work alongside one of New Zealand's sports specialist physiotherapists, colleagues with postgraduate and Master’s degrees, therapeutic massage therapists, and an exceptional reception team. We maintain close collaborations with local sports physicians and specialists.
The successful applicant will benefit from an additional support package for external continuing professional development, a staff wellness program, and an excellent workplace culture led by our social committee. To thrive in this dynamic and energetic team, applicants must be willing to work across various areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, have a strong desire to learn, have excellent communication skills, and be able to think creatively and go above and beyond.
This position is suited for a Physiotherapist with at least 18 months of experience with a desire to work in sports physiotherapy. If you have less experience but believe you are ready to take the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply through our website with your CV and cover letter.

Mon 7am - 11 am
